THE STARTING POINT
If the other projects, that I choose to showcase here, were more focused on what we generally expect as being related to the web design general concept, Slotscomparer.com is that example that showcase an interface focused on presenting data and through this a more niched project and from a technical point of view, a real challenge. The concept for this interface is the result of a long period of time of tests and iterations on how to present the available data in a format that will make it accessible and at same time will create a unique and useful product.
THE RESULT
As the name of this application say, Slotscomparer is a tool for comparing data about slot games. Having behind lots of data and several ways of searching or refining searches, Slotscomparer was one of the most challenging projects I ever did. Having to create a fully responsive experience complicated much more the things as I had to create ways of displaying this info in any format. But at the end, this product was a real success for everybody involved: Slotscomparer.com was shortlisted in 2016 for the “Best Innovation” and “Best Casino” categories at London Affiliates Awards, one of the big competitions dedicated to casinos and affiliates.
SEVERAL WAYS OF SEARCHING
Searching is one key feature for this tool: you can search for clones and hybrids of slots or you can refine the search trough selecting the features that you are interested in.
TWO WAYS OF COMPARING: HORIZONTAL AND VERTICAL
As a user you have two different ways of comparing data: trough horizontal scrolling and through vertical scrolling.
